Switzerland & law
Is my enclosure big enough?
The Swiss Animal Welfare Ordinance counts in body lengths, not litres. ReptiCare compares the inside dimensions of your terrarium with the minimums and shows a traffic light. Included for free, even without Pro.
The legal position at a glance
What counts is the body length of the largest animal in the terrarium.
Green: All three inside dimensions meet the minimums. Each dimension is checked on its own.

No. ReptiCare runs without registration and without a login. There is no server of ours holding your animal data.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. If you use iCloud, the app additionally synchronises it with your other Apple devices through your private iCloud area. We have no access to it.
What does ReptiCare cost?
The app is free and allows two animals. ReptiCare Pro unlocks everything else: A one-off CHF 10.–, no subscription.
Is there an Android version?
Yes. Since 26 September 2026 ReptiCare has been available on the Google Play Store. For iPhone, iPad and Mac with Apple silicon, the app is on the App Store.
Is the app tailored to Switzerland?
Yes. The ordinance check compares enclosure dimensions with Swiss minimum requirements, the legal notes refer to the Animal Welfare Ordinance, and the currency can be set to francs or euros. The app is usable anywhere.
Does ReptiCare replace the vet or the veterinary office?
No. Prompts such as “weight loss” or “food refused repeatedly” are rules of thumb, and the ordinance check is orientation. Binding information comes from your vet and the cantonal veterinary office.
